Evaluation Question 5.
A SpiceyNodes Presentation answering Evaluation Question 5.
Evaluation Question 4 - Audience Review Video.
In this video you can see a few people sitting and watching the Final Film that my group and I have made. After viewing, Bleona then asked the viewers a series of questions about the Film. The viewers were asked to be as critical as possible, in order for us to better our next film if we choose to make another. The viewers gave some great feedback and also some constructive criticism and I believe this will really aid the progress of the next Ellipsis Productions Film that is made. The target audience is for those aged 18+ as there is signs of prostitution which aren't suited to the younger viewing audience.

Continuity Editing
Continuity Editing is the consistent flow of scene edits creating a smooth and flowing narrative action.
The way in which a scene is arranged can greatly change the narrative action.
For example :
1 - a car explosion
2 - car is on fire
3 - people jump out of the car
If the above scenes are ordered in a different way, the whole feel of the story changes.
1 - 2 - 3
2 - 3 - 1
3 - 1 - 2
There are more ways in which the above 3 sections could be arranged to change the narrative of the story.
With big time production companies like Warner Bros. with hundreds of clips from a scene the narrative of continuity editing there is an endless possibility of story lines that could come into the film.

Speed of Editing
The Speed editing is used to set the scene and mood of a film. Scenes can last anything from seconds to minutes when being edited. It determines the pace of the film and the action in the scene. Speed of Editing is often used to cause anxiety and create suspense (The scenes will be short and frequent and sometimes quite flickery) and in order to create a calm and relaxed feeling (by making the scenes last longer and change less often). Scenes at the beginning of a film should be longer and not have frequent edits in order to allow people to gain knowledge of what the story is unfolding into. The faster paced, shorter and snappy scenes should come in later when the film storyline is going to be understood by the majority of the audience in order to add an essence of thrill and excitement to the film.

Walt Disney Studio Ident
Walt Disney Studio Ident
The Walt Disney Studio Ident is perfect for its target audiences; Parents and Children. Its has a rather magical vibe to the music played throughout it and the music gets progressively more dramatic and intense as it goes on which would most probably excite children and provoke more interest from them. The Moving image itself is all animated which again is child friendly and it is again very magical because there is a beautiful bright night sky with the Disney Castle all lit up. At the very end of the Ident, there is a magical pixie dust arch that goes over the Castle which again excite children and makes them interested in the story to be told. Parents like this because they see their child(ren) happy and every parent wants a happy child.

Camera Shots.
Long Shot (LS) - Often used to make the subject in the frame look smaller and out of focus so we can't see the feautures, therefore we are unable to make a judgement of the person and see if they look good or bad.
Medium Shot (MS) - Usually set as the standard camera shot, normally when they are talking.
Close Up (CU) - This shot is used to show the facial expression of the character in shot, setting a mood for the audience.
Vox Pop Audience Research
Vox Pop Audience Research.
We used the Media technique of 'Vox Pops' to see;
Where they watch films,
When was the last time they watched a film,
With what media they watched the film,
Their favourite genres and why their chosen genre was their favourite.
We asked four fellow students to take part in our audience research and we found that all of the answers varied. We decided to use two people from each gender and all at the age of 16-17 because we thought it would be a fair questionnaire.
In order to Improve this Vox Pop we could have asked many more people of different ages and backgrounds, and also asked more questions.
